Description
Denby Cottage and the cottage to the right of the Post Office are two cottages and a post office dating from the 17th century. They are timber framed and have been refaced in brick, with a tiled roof. The building is two stories high and consists of three bays. There is a boarded door located in the center bay, and the windows are two- and three-light leaded types with segmental heads and flush blue brick hoods, all of which date from the early 19th century. The cross wing on the right has been colourwashed and now forms a separate cottage. The Post Office, located in a late 19th-century wing on the left, is not of special interest. Inside, there is a large stack with timber fire lintels situated between the second and third bays, along with chamfered spine beams and a timber framed partition.
