Description
This barn, located to the southeast of Little Chalfield Manor, likely dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a stone slate roof with coped verges. The barn consists of five bays and has a hipped porch on the south side, which is fitted with corrugated iron doors and a shuttered loft door above. To the right of the porch is a cast-iron water wheel, with a mill race running underneath the porch. The left side of the barn has two planked doors, while the rear includes a large opening with a smaller door to the left. The cast-iron water wheel is still present on the south wall, to the right of the porch. The roof is supported by king post trusses with raking struts, although the mill machinery is missing.
