Description
This is a bank barn with an associated water mill, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of stone rubble with granite dressings and features a dry slate roof with gabled ends. The building has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys high.
On the ground floor, there are four doorways with cambered dressed stone arches; the doorway to the left of the centre is wider than the others. The first floor has doorways on both the left and right sides, each with slated canopies supported by timber cantilevers, and there is a small cambered arch window between them.
At the rear, there is a large iron overshot water wheel situated in a pit beneath a lean-to structure, with a loft doorway to the left. Inside, the barn features a bolted soft-wood roof structure.
