Description

The gateway arch, dated 1746, is located immediately southeast of Tolpetherwin Farmhouse. It features two granite monolith posts that are square in shape, supporting an elliptical arch carved from a single piece of granite. The arch has bowled moulded corners and includes a raised inscription in upper case sans serif that reads 'John and Ann Hickes 1746'. This arch serves as a pedestrian gateway to the front garden of Tolpetherwin Farmhouse.
