Description
Lenton Farm is a farmhouse that has been converted into three cottages, dating from the late 17th century and mid 18th century. It is constructed of rubble stone, partly rendered, with a stone slate roof featuring gable end stone stacks and coped verges. The building has a T-plan layout.
The south range of No 215 is a single storey with an attic and has three windows. There is a ribbed door in a chamfered surround to the right of the centre, with two 3-light hollow-chamfered mullioned casements featuring arched wooden lights and hoodmoulds to the left, and one to the right. The attic has three gables with 3-light mullioned casements. The rear of No 215 has a mix of 3-light and 2-light mullioned casements on the ground floor and attic, respectively, along with a blocked doorway and additional mullioned casements.
Nos 216 and 217 are located in an 18th-century wing attached to the rear. The west side features a planked door and a 4-panelled door in chamfered surrounds with flat stone hoods on brackets, along with single-light, 2-light, and 3-light beaded mullioned casements on the ground floor and a 3-light window on the first floor. The east side has 2-light and 3-light mullioned casements, lean-to outhouses, and two 19th-century gabled dormers with 2-light wooden casements. Inside No 215, there are good 6-panelled or planked doors and window shutters.
