Description
Olivers Cottage is a detached cottage dating from around 1700. It is constructed of coursed dressed limestone and features a concrete tiled roof with gable end brick stacks. The building is two stories high and has three windows across its front. The central entrance is a planked door set in a stone chamfered case, with a 2-light recessed chamfered mullioned window to the right and a 3-light window to the left. A continuous string course runs above the door lintel, with labels on either side of the windows. On the first floor, there is a central 2-light mullioned window flanked by two 3-light windows. Above the door, there is a Sun Insurance disc. The cottage has coped verges, and the left side has a 1-light recessed chamfered window on the first floor. The right side features two blocked 1-light recessed chamfered windows in the attic and one blocked 2-light window on the first floor. The rear of the cottage has similar windows. There is a 20th-century garage attached to the left side. Inside, the cottage has planked doors and chamfered beams.
