Description
The Norton monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, 2.5 metres south of the south porch of the Church of St Leonard. It dates from 1795 and is made of limestone. The tomb features angle balusters and a central floral drop on each side, creating two panels. The north side is inscribed with Roman and italic lettering for Elizabeth and Anthony Norton. Additionally, there are paterae and a reed frieze, along with a cyma recta moulded slab.
