Description

Minety Park is a country house built in the early 19th century, with additions and alterations made in the early 20th century. The structure features squared and coursed rubble with blocked ashlar dressings, rusticated stone quoins, and hipped stone slate roofs topped with tall ashlar stacks. The building has an irregular L-shaped plan, consisting of a central 19th-century block, with 20th-century side wings that project on the south front and an additional projecting rear wing.

The main block is three storeys high and has three windows, while the wings are two storeys with one window each, all facing south. The windows in the outer bays of the ground and first floors of the 19th-century block are paired 12-pane sashes, although the lower glazing bars have been removed. The central window on the first floor is a single sash, while the upper windows are 20th-century two-pane sashes. The left wing features two and three-light small pane casements, and the right wing has a French window with a 12-pane sash above it.

A central advanced stone porch on the 19th-century block has a pediment and a two-leaf, six-panel outer door. The first and second floor platbands of the 19th-century block continue around the wings at the first floor level.

Inside, there is a 19th-century staircase with a circular newel and square balusters, while the remainder of the interior dates from the 1920s, including a panelled ground floor room in the left-hand wing.
