AVEBURY A4 BATH ROAD, West Kennett SU 16 NW (north side) 5/53 West Kennett House 22.8.66 II

House. c1800. Flemish brickwork with concealed slate roof. Three storeys and basements, 5 bays. Central 6-panelled door over 6 steps and within a Tuscan portico. Plat band between the raised ground floor and upper floors, and dentilled cornice. Low parapet over. Twelve-paned sashes with concealed boxes, and gauged brick lintels. Nine-pane sashes to second floor and 6-pane to basement. Gable stacks with moulded stone caps. C19 kitchen wing to rear of right side, and 2-storey lean-to across remainder of back elevation. Interior has dog leg stair in stair hall, and moulded fireplace with marble slips between arched recesses to drawing room to left of hall.
