Description
This Georgian house, dating from the 18th century, features a shop and has a roof added in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared painted stone, with rubble returns, and has a low-pitched Welsh slate roof topped with a brick stack on the right, which it shares with the adjoining property. The building stands two storeys high and has two windows. On the first floor, there are two large 12-pane sash windows located at the outer wall face, above a full-width recessed shop front. This shop front includes canted plate glass display sides flanking a central glazed door with an overlight. The full-width fascia is supported by two slender quatrefoil-section 'Batty Langley' cast iron columns. Inside, some cast iron supports are also retained. At the back, there is a wing with paired 16-pane sashes on the first floor, along with a further, lower outhouse beyond.
