Description

Crossways is a house located in a row on Salisbury Street. It is possibly from the 18th century but has been significantly modified in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of rendered rubble and features a plain tile roof with a large brick chimney stack on the left, which is next to the chimney of Cross House. The house has two storeys and an attic, with two windows. The windows are six-part horned sashes, except for the bottom right window, which is a three-light window with an arched head. All the windows are framed with plat-band surrounds that have an inner edge-mould. There is a central door from the 20th century. The house has a plinth and a plat-band string at the first floor level. It is included in the listing for its group value.
