Description
Potters Croft is a house located at the end of a street row, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of thin-bedded coursed and squared limestone, with a rubble gable return, and features a Welsh slate roof. The building has two storeys and two windows, presenting a symmetrical front. All windows are 16-pane sashes that are flush with the front wall, with the ground floor windows having flush voussoirs and later wooden shutters. There is a lay-light in the center of the roof. The central entrance consists of a 4-panel modified 19th-century stable door, framed by decorative pilasters and topped with a flat timber hood that has a moulded edge. A brick stack is located to the right of the house. Potters Croft was likely built as a pair with Pickwicks, which is situated flanking Pennybank Lane, and it remains unaltered externally at the front.
