Description

This is an 18th-century barn and stable complex located on the west side of Littlecote Enford. The building is timber-framed with weatherboarding on brick sill walls, and has a thatched roof partially covered with corrugated iron. The barn at the south end comprises four bays, featuring opposed doors leading to the threshing floor in the third bay. It has jowled posts with curved braces and raking struts, along with collar trusses. Attached to the north end and of a single build is a two-bay stable block with a fodder store above. Further attached to the north is a two-bay addition to create further barn space, containing opposed cart doors. The additional barn space has a queen post roof with threaded purlins.
