Description

The Retreat and the cottage to the east are two semi-detached cottages built in the early 19th century. They are roughcast with thatched roofs and each cottage has two storeys and two bays, arranged symmetrically around a central stack. Each cottage also features a single-storey side extension that is independently thatched. Gabled porches are present on the outer bays, and the cottages have brick dressings around the casement windows. The roofs are hipped.
