Description
New Barn Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the mid-19th century. It is built of dressed limestone with a tiled roof and features an axial brick stack. The cottage is two stories high and has two windows on the front. To the right, there is a planked door with a chamfered case and a hoodmould. To the left, there are two 2-light chamfered mullioned windows with hoodmoulds that lead to 2-storey bays, along with another 2-light mullioned window. On the first floor, there are two mullioned windows that also lead to 2-storey gabled bays. The roof has coped verges, and the stack has stepped capping. The right and left returns each have 2-light mullioned windows and a 1-light window on the first floor. At the rear, there is an outshut with casements and a planked door. The interior has not been inspected. This cottage was formerly an estate cottage of the Wardour Estate and remains externally unchanged.
