Description

This is an early 17th-century house located in Allington. It is timber-framed with colourwashed brick noggings and has a thatched roof. The house originally followed a two-bay lobby entry plan, with a chalkstone bay added to the east end and a lean-to added to the west. The timber framing is three panels high, with corner braces and numbered joints from the east. The south side features an entrance opposite a brick stack, which was added later to the west parlour bay. The house has timber casement windows. On the north side, there is a dowelled moulded head of an original window. The roof is hipped to the east and quarter-hipped to the west.
