Description
The Young monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 7 metres south of the chapel of the Church of St. Mary. This tomb dates from the late 18th century and is made of limestone. It features a plinth, two raised panels, and moulded pilasters on the main sides, along with a cornice on the flat top that also has raised panels. The monument was noted to be badly worn at the time of the survey in July 1985. It commemorates George Young, who died in 1765.
