Description
This is an outbuilding located to the west of Calstone Mill, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof that is hipped to the west. The building is a two-storey long range, with a weatherboarded east end wall. The south wall includes three 2-light flush stone mullion windows with a set-back mullion on each floor. The rear of the building has two similar windows on each floor, although the ground floor windows are blocked. This structure is likely associated with the industrial use of Calstone Mill for cloth and is attractively situated right on the river Marden. It is included in the listing for its group value.
