Description

Blacklands Park Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to later 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone with a Bridgwater tile roof and coped gables. The main part of the house is two storeys and an attic, with a symmetrical three-window front. The windows are 12-pane sashes set in raised, bead-moulded surrounds. A central six-panel door is similarly framed, topped with a pediment supported by brackets. Architectural details include a moulded plinth, raised angle piers, a string course, and a moulded eaves cornice. A 12-pane sash window to the ground floor is also found on the west end, above which is an attic casement in a moulded surround. A rendered east wall features a similar ground floor sash window, with an altered attic window. A 19th-century three-window, two-storey rear wing has an end chimney stack.
