Description
The gate piers at the south end of Lime Avenue to Zeals House date from the 18th century. They are constructed of limestone and feature alternately projecting courses. The piers have a moulded cornice topped with ball finials and an ashlar band adorned with carved rosettes on the front and rear faces. Decorative volutes include female masks and leopard masks. The attached side walls are made of rubble stone, with swept weathered coping and rusticated end piers that also have moulded cappings and ball finials.
