Description

The gate piers at the south drive entrance to Lake House date from the 18th century. They are constructed from ashlar limestone and feature a rusticated finish. Each pier has a cornice and a block on top that supports raised ball finials. Carved scrolled brackets connect the piers to the top of the adjacent flint wall.
