Description

Lake Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century and around 1800. It is constructed of flint with brick facing, and has a tiled roof. The house is two storeys high, with a cellar and attic, and has three bays. It follows a central stair hall plan with reception rooms on either side. A plat band runs horizontally across the front. The central entrance features a six-panelled door, with the upper panels glazed, within a simple porch. The ground floor windows are tripartite, with twelve panes per sash, set within segmental-headed openings. First-floor windows are timber-framed and have multiple panes. The roof is hipped and has two hipped dormers, with chimney stacks on the end gable walls. A single-storey and attic rear wing is present, featuring an early 19th-century fielded and panelled door, moulded architrave, and a broken pediment.
