Description
No. 10 is a detached house dating from around 1840, located on Tinhead Road in Edington. It is built of Flemish bond brick with chamfered quoins and has a hipped Welsh slate roof with brick stacks. The house is two stories high and features three windows. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled door set within a trellised tent porch that includes a fanlight above. On either side of the door are canted bays with margin-pane glazing bars. There is a plat band at the first floor level, which holds three 16-pane sash windows. The eaves are deep and supported by paired wooden brackets.
On the right side of the house, there is a shallow gabled porch with a planked door and a two-light casement window on the first floor. The left side features a canted bay on the ground floor and a 16-pane sash window on the first floor. Attached to the right of the front of the house are curved brick dwarf walls topped with stone pitched coping and cast-iron spearhead railings. The entrance includes central double spearhead gates with chamfered stone gate piers, along with a larger pair of cast-iron gates that lead to a stable yard on the right.
