Description
Neate's Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into two dwellings. It dates from the 18th century and early 19th century. The building is constructed of brick on sarsen sill walls and features a thatched roof. Originally, it had two bays and was a single storey with an attic, but it was later raised to two storeys and extended to the south by an additional two bays, also two storeys high. The entrances are located in the outbuildings, with the entrance at the south end being from the 20th century and not of special interest. The windows include twelve-pane sash and tripartite windows, as well as some casement windows. The roof is hipped, and a flush dormer has been incorporated into the raising of the north end dwelling walls.
