Description

Manor Cottage is a small house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, built to replace a farmhouse on the same site. It is constructed of buff brick and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and is arranged in a 2 x 1 bay configuration. The entrance, which is slightly off-centre, is a 20th-century recessed design set within an early 18th-century bolection moulded stone doorcase, topped with a stone shell canopy supported by console brackets. The cottage has two-light stone moulded and mullioned windows with leaded metal frames, which appear to be re-used. At the rear, there is a 20th-century two-bay wing. The roofs are hipped, and there is a central brick stack.
