Description

Chandler’s House is an 18th-century brick house with raised stone quoins. The original roof covering was replaced with tiles in the 20th century. The house is two storeys high and five bays wide, with a central hallway and, to the rear, a roof carried over narrow service rooms. The central entrance has a six-panelled door with a bracketed pediment. A moulded stone string runs around the building. The windows are twelve-paned sashes with moulded stone surrounds and gauged brick heads to the ground floor. There are narrow lights on either side of the front door. A large external stack on the left-hand side was later enclosed within outbuildings. The roof is hipped.
