Description
The garden walls and gates attached to the southeast corner of Abbey House date from the 16th century and later. They are constructed from coursed, squared limestone rubble and brick. The rubble wall, which has a brick facing and half-round coping, extends approximately 50 meters. It features a 2-centred archway with raised sides that incorporates 13th-century carved stonework from the Abbey Church, along with wrought-iron gates.
