Description

The arch in the garden to the south of Abbey House is a mid-16th century structure that has been reset as a garden ornament. It incorporates 12th-century carved masonry from the Abbey church. Made of limestone ashlar, the arch features a round head with Norman chevron voussoirs and has a short length of moulding above.
