Description

This is a Moravian church dating to 1770, located in Malmesbury. It is constructed of roughcast limestone rubble with limestone dressings, topped with a slate roof. The church has an open plan design and is single-storied, with a three-window front. The windows are round-arched, and contain late 19th-century stained glass. The right-hand window also functions as a doorway, featuring a ridge door and a moulded timber canopy. The gable end is windowless.

Inside, the church features several notable details, including a good panelled octagonal pulpit with an ogee hour-glass base, steps with column-on-vase balusters and a ramped rail, and a gallery at the rear supported by two cast-iron posts. There is also panelled wainscot and an organ.

Attached to the church are spear-headed iron railings, dwarf walls, gates, and an ashlar pier which enclose the area in front. The church is connected to the adjacent Manse.
