Description
19 and 19A Oxford Street is a house, now functioning as a pair, built around 1830. It is constructed of coursed, squared limestone with an ashlar plinth up to the cill height, featuring a brick gable stack on the right side and an interlocking tile roof. The building has a double-depth plan and rises three storeys high with a three-window range. The front is nearly symmetrical, showcasing cambered heads above a doorway that has a plate-glass overlight and a boarded door. There is a lower left-hand passage entrance with a panelled door. The windows include horned 8/8-pane sashes in exposed boxes, and a central hornless 6/6-pane sash, with no second-floor window in the centre. The interior has not been inspected. To the left, No. 21 was formerly a service wing.
