Description
This is a house, dating from 1770, located on Oxford Street in Malmesbury. It is built of roughcast limestone rubble with limestone dressings, brick stacks, and a slate roof. The building’s design is based on a double-depth plan with a rear wing on the right-hand side. It is two storeys high and has a three-window front.
The front facade is symmetrical, featuring a coped gable on the left. It has quoins, raised surrounds to the openings, and a doorway with a four-pane overlight and panelled door. The windows are 6/6-pane sashes with fine bars; similar windows are present on the right-hand return. The interior has not been inspected.
Attached to the front of the right-hand return are spear-headed iron railings, forming an enclosed area. The building is connected to the rear wing of the Moravian Church (listed separately).
