Description
The Loder monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 5 to 7 metres south-west of the west tower of the Church of St Michael. This mid-19th century monument is made of limestone and features recessed cusped side panels, a moulded base, and a weathered capping. It commemorates Giles Loder, who was a patron of the church's rebuilding and died in 1871, along with his wife and other family members. The tomb is enclosed by a raised paved area surrounded by iron railings that have lotus bud terminals.
