Description

The Red House is a house that was formerly the vicarage, built between 1830 and 1840. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with English bond used at the rear, and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features four bays across the front and two bays deep. The main facade faces east, and the entrance is located in the second bay, consisting of a pair of panelled doors with an overlight, all set within a stone doorcase that has an open pediment. The windows are twelve-paned sashes with gauged brick lintels above them. The ground floor has applied louvred shutters, and there is a brick stack on the roof.
