Description
The Newman monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 23 metres northwest of the tower of the Church of St Michael and All Angels. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone. The tomb features a plinth and one oval panel with carved drapery. It has a moulded flat top that bears an inscription to Thomas Dancey, who died in 1833, and another inscription on the north side dedicated to William Newman, who died in 1807.
