Description
No. 95 Church Street is a Grade II listed building that consists of two cottages now combined into one. It dates back to 1716, as indicated by a shield-shaped datestone located to the left over the door. The building is constructed from coursed rubble stone and features a double Roman tiled roof with stone and brick stacks.
It is two stories high and has four windows. The entrance is a 20th-century door set in a chamfered case, with a 2-light ovolo-mullioned casement window to the left, which has a hoodmould above it. To the right, there is a blocked doorway with a 6-pane fixed window and a 2-light cyma-mullioned casement. On the first floor, there are four 2-light ovolo-mullioned casements.
At the rear, the building has a lateral stack to the left, 20th-century roof lights, and a lean-to extension. Inside, there are open fireplaces with lintels resting on stone jambs.
