Description
A pair of cottages dating to the mid-19th century, part of a larger group of 17 cottages situated on both sides of the road. They are built of coursed limestone rubble with a triple-Roman tile roof and a central, moulded ridge stack. The cottages are in a Vernacular Revival style and have double-depth plans.
The two-storey, symmetrical front has a two-window range. Segmental arches feature over the windows, and modern gabled porches are set back from the returns. Full-height gables face forward, with 19th-century 2-pane casement windows – two-light to the first floor and three-light to the ground floor. The interior of the cottages was not inspected.
