Description

These are a pair of semi-detached cottages, part of a larger group of seventeen cottages built in the middle of the 19th century on both sides of the street. The cottages are constructed of limestone rubble with triple-Roman tile roofs and brick ridge stacks. They are built in a Vernacular Revival style, with single-unit plans and rear outshuts and extensions.

The cottages are single-storeyed with gabled half-dormers in the attic. Three gables face the street, the central one slightly larger and belonging to No. 1. A recessed panel in the centre originally contained paired wide semicircular arches, likely former porches, but these are now filled in with 20th-century doors. The ground-floor windows are arched, and canted bays with hipped stone slate roofs extend to the returns. The interior of the cottages has not been inspected.
