Description

This milestone, located about 100 meters southwest of the junction with Silver Street in Potterne, dates from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a triangular plan. The north side is marked 'Lavington 4', while the south side reads 'Devizes 2'. The flat gabled top is inscribed with 'Sarum 22'. The front of the milestone is marked with the name Burt Devizes.
