Description
The Hatherell Monument is a chest tomb located about 9 meters south-south-east of the southeast corner of the Church of St. Mary. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The north side features two circular plaques with crossed torches between them, while the south side has two fielded plaques. The monument has baluster corners and is topped with a capstone made of pennant stone. It bears an inscription commemorating Ann Hatherell, who died in 1785.
