No 366 (Rose Cottage) With Attached Railings And Gate

Rose Cottage, a detached cottage dating from the mid-19th century, is constructed of limestone ashlar and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with a stone stack. The building has a gable end facing the road and is two stories high with three windows. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled door topped by a moulded hood supported by consoles. On either side of the door are 12-pane sash windows with Tudor-arched panes, similar to those found on the adjacent No 365. A plat band runs along the first floor, above which are three more similar sash windows. The building has pilasters leading up to a moulded eaves cornice and a blocking course. The left and right sides of the cottage are blind, while the rear is made of brick and features sash windows. The property is complemented by good attached cast-iron spearhead railings set on limestone dwarf walls, which are topped with chamfered rusticated gate piers that have pedimented cappings, along with a matching cast-iron gate.
