Elm Cottage is a cottage in a row, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from rubble stone and features a pantiled roof with coped verges and a stone stack on the left side. The building is two stories high and has three windows. On the ground floor, there is a two-panelled door with a transom light to the right and a 12-pane sash window with 'horns' to the left. The first floor has two sash windows to the right and a narrow two-light casement window to the left. The rear and interior were not accessible at the time of the survey in May 1987.
