Description

The column with a bust is a garden feature located in the garden of The Courts. It is probably from the 18th century and was reset here in the early 20th century. The column is made of limestone and stands on a two-step square plinth. It has a capital with volutes and egg and dart moulding that supports a bust of a man. It is likely that Sir George Hastings brought this column here in the early 1900s, possibly from Ranelagh House in London.
