Description

Two ranges of barns at approximate right angles, probably dating from the 18th century. The barns are timber framed with thatched roofs, connected by a lower brick section with a thatched roof. One barn range, situated by the driveway, has five bays, with central doors. The roof extends over an open cartway, connecting to a further three bays. The gable of this section is linked in brick to a brick carriage house at a right angle. Beyond this is a second cartway, leading to the end bay of a five-bay timber framed and thatched barn which opens onto a yard. The structure features posts strutted to tie beams, queen struts, and collars to principal rafters. Windbraces are fitted to the lower of two purlins.
