Description
Upper Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries. It is timber framed with a facade of Flemish brickwork and has a thatched roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a one-bay rear wing on the left. The framing has four panels high and lacks corner braces. The front was refaced in the 18th and 19th centuries. The entrance is located in the left end bay, featuring a six-panelled door with a gabled iron canopy supported by simple brackets. There are 19th-century three-light timber windows with segmental heads on the ground floor; the right end window has been blocked and reformed to the right. A stack is positioned between the left and centre bays and another is located at the right end gable. The rear wing has been extended with additional bays, likely from the 19th century, constructed in lozenge patterned brickwork. The interior has not been seen.
