Description

The J. Beard monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 5 meters north of the porch of the Church of St. Margaret in Yatton Keynell. This late 18th-century tomb is made of ashlar stone and features an oval plaque on the south side, which is flanked by ribbon drops on either side. The ends of the tomb are designed in a lyre shape with husk drops. The north side has a fielded plaque, and the tomb is finished with a moulded base and cornice. An inscription dedicated to J. Beard can be found on the west end.
