Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 2 meters south of the Beard/Kington monument and northeast of the Church of St. Margaret. It dates from the early to mid 18th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. The tomb features a fielded plaque on the south side and scroll decorations on each side, along with a fielded plaque on the north side and unusual corner balusters. It has a moulded base and cornice, bead-and-reel ornament beneath the frieze, and a gadrooned edge on the capstone.
