Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard about 11 metres south of the neat monument, which is situated south-south-east of the chancel of the Church of St. Thomas. The tomb dates from the late 18th century and is made of ashlar stone. The north side features a centre that is broken forward with a raised circular plaque surrounded by an egg-and-dart motif. There are fielded strips on each side and chamfered corners adorned with a drop of fruit and flowers. The base and cornice are moulded, with the frieze breaking forward over the centre of the north side. The south side has a fielded plaque framed in an egg-and-dart design, along with fielded strips on either side.
