Description

The Beard/Kington monument is a chest tomb located in the northeast corner of the churchyard of the Church of St. Margaret. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of ashlar with pennant stone plaques. The tomb features two plaques on each side, with a drapery drop between the plaques on the south side and a mourning child depicted on the north side. The ends of the tomb are designed in the shape of lyres with husk drops, and it is topped with a moulded capstone.
