Description
The summerhouse and garden walls, located south of The Grange, date from the early 19th century and are constructed from rubble stone. The south end wall is coped and ramps up to the west, extending over the parapet of the north front of the summerhouse. The north side features a Gothic arched entry leading to a heptagonal chamber with a thatched roof, which includes two small horizontal viewing slits on the south side that taper to small circular eyeholes, as well as two small square openings to the east and west. To the west, there is a plain coped wall along the roadside. The east side has a taller wall at the south end, which contains two Gothic doorways leading to rear lean-tos. A lower continuation to the north features a Gothic doorway paired with a pointed arched niche that has an alcove in the reveal, situated adjacent to the east end of The Grange.
