Description
The Mackrell Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard of the Church of St Andrew, approximately 32 metres south of the tower. It dates from the early 19th century and is made of limestone. The monument features a moulded table and base, a tapered chest with corner flutings, and decorative balls at the bottom corners. Inscriptions are presented on raised tablets with chamfered corners, commemorating Robert Mackrell, who died in 1839, his widow Ann, who died in 1875, and other family members.
